About the Merchandising team

The merchandising team is responsible for proactively assessing and managing all product selection, pricing, advertising, promotion and merchandising for the Company.

 

About the Order Management Coordinator Position

This position is responsible for coordinating the purchasing and delivery of recurring merchandise for all Cascade Farm & Outdoor stores. It monitors in-stock levels for both regular and promotional products, ensuring timely delivery and accurate pricing for all orders. The role also manages and maintains all special orders and communicates daily with vendors to ensure accurate and complete order fulfillment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Uses the suggested order report to write orders for shipment directly to the stores and for split shipments sent to the warehouse cross-dock.
  • Manages appropriate stock levels for stores on both regular and ad goods.
  • Works with buyers to generate adequate quantities of goods for seasonal categories.
  • Submits purchase orders to the vendors and verifies their receipt.
  • Monitors shipment arrivals, late shipments and closes expired purchase orders.
  • Verifies pricing on purchase orders and reconciles differences between the vendors and the item file system.
  • Initiates, monitors and transmits weekly EDI orders for direct shipment to the stores.
  • Manages the store special order system daily.
  • Reviews and reconciles all freight charges monthly.
  • Initiates returns of products shipped incorrectly back to vendors.

Social Skill Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Must have the ability to effectively send and receive communication, both verbal and written, using the English language

Aptitude Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills
  • Perform basic math and accounting functions.
  • Ability to validate information.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
  • Detail-oriented
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate office equipment
  • Must have the ability to analyze, reason, and make decisions.
  • Must be able to learn and retain new skills.

Pay:

Bi-weekly / On-Demand

 

Schedule:

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment
